Our Work

Agile & Precise

Our services cover the full spectrum of strategic communications.

From earned media and public affairs to content creation, media training thought leadership, analytics, and beyond, Greenbrier is a one-stop destination for organizations seeking a holistic approach to their communications needs.

Corporate Communications

Your brand shouldn’t be defined by the media or competitors but by effective storytelling delivered to the right audience. Whether you are trying to put your company on the map, launching a new product, preparing for a public listing, or raising the profile of your key executives, we can help. Our team of seasoned experts has worked with hundreds of companies, organizations, and individuals to develop targeted, relevant, and authentic narratives and media relations strategies that deliver measurable gains.

Crisis Management

A crisis can damage your corporate brand, personal reputation, and employee morale and have a lasting financial impact. We have over 40 years of experience managing and recovering from crises experienced by household name companies, smaller organizations, startups, and individuals. We also work with clients to anticipate potential crises that could impact their brand. Through a comprehensive crisis audit process, we develop playbooks for handling serious issues – preparation that pays huge dividends when a crisis actually occurs.

Public Affairs

At the intersection of policy and communication, we’re experts at influencing groups of people into action. From policymakers to the public, and from interest groups to the media, we create compelling narratives and comprehensive campaigns and will advise your business on how to most effectively navigate political and regulatory challenges.

Media Training

Every interaction with the media is both an opportunity and a risk: they want something from you, you want something from them, and it’s rarely the same thing. We work with our clients to ensure they are comfortable dealing with media and understand the rules, tips, and tricks to help make every media interaction a win.

Data Analysis & Reporting

In a data-driven world, we believe it’s essential for projects of all sizes to rely on qualitative and quantitative research to inform their communications efforts. Greenbrier builds tailored reports and analyses to address key questions, inform strategy, define success metrics across press and social, and benchmark against internal success metrics. One of our core operating principles is to measure everything we possibly can.

Digital Strategy

By working cross-functionally with The Messina Group’s digital team, we bring a successful track record of conducting successful targeted digital campaigns, measuring the effectiveness of your messaging, and analyzing online sentiment. This allows us to offer a cohesive digital marketing and communications service which is increasingly important in today’s digital landscape. We also support our clients with content planning and execution, and building their thought leadership profile online.

Case Studies

Greenbrier consults for a broad range of organizations, from disruptive startups to household brands. Sharrow Marine logo

Sharrow Marine, a nautical engineering and manufacturing company responsible for the first major advancement in propeller technology since the 1830s, sought our expertise to establish a stronger media presence. Greenbrier collaborated with the team to elevate visibility and generate recognition by crafting a compelling narrative, securing a Business Insider feature on innovative propeller designs combating ocean noise pollution. An exclusive funding announcement with Crain’s generated significant buzz, and trade articles continued to showcase their commitment to challenging norms. To further gain recognition outside of the industry, we helped secure a coveted finalist spot in Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards and TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023. These strategic media placements helped elevate the company, attracting investors and clients and solidifying its reputation as an industry leader and innovator.

Cabana logo

Greenbrier began working with Cabana in the spring of 2020 to help officially launch their fleet of tech-enabled luxury camper vans on the west coast — scoring a TechCrunch exclusive as their formal debut into the market. At the start of the pandemic, interest in #vanlife skyrocketed and the Greenbrier team brightened the spotlight with a feature about Cabana in the New York Times, secured a second NYTs feature, and coordinated a trip to be featured in the LA Times when the company expanded to CA. Consumer press was also an important focus as the company grew and needed to build an audience, and Greenbrier placed features in top travel outlets like Outside, Sunset, The Points Guy, and Skift. To continue promoting the company throughout the year and drive bookings, the team worked closely with Cabana to develop unique packages, securing coverage in Travel + Leisure, Insider, and Seattle Met for Valentine’s Day.

Wade, Greenbrier began working on a pro bono basis with Mayday Health, a 501(c)(3) reproductive health education nonprofit, to support its mission of sharing information about how to access safe abortion pills regardless of location. Greenbrier helped increase brand awareness of Mayday Health within weeks and as a result, reporters from top-tier television and print outlets proactively sought comment from Dr. Lincoln each time the news cycle about abortion pill legislation evolves. In the week after news that a Texas judge suspended the FDA approval of mifepristone, Greenbrier secured interviews for Dr. Lincoln with: Associated Press, CNN, VOX, Newsweek, Newsday, MSNBC, and Georgia Public Broadcasting, and South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
