Adrian Durbin is a senior communications and government relations expert with more than twenty years of experience handling corporate, financial, crisis, policy, and executive communications, often in high-pressure environments. Adrian joined Greenbrier from Lyft, where he was Head of Communications. In that role, he managed a team of 30 and led the company’s corporate public relations efforts through several seminal moments, including its IPO, expansion into dozens of new markets, and the addition of bikes and scooters to the Lyft platform.
Before joining Lyft, Adrian held multiple roles at McKesson, a Fortune 10 healthcare company, including Director of Public Policy and Manager of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Prior to that, he held several positions within Massachusetts politics. At 23, he was the youngest Chief of Staff in the Massachusetts Senate, and also served as Press Secretary and Speechwriter for the Massachusetts Treasurer. In addition, he spent three years as a Director at Weber Shandwick, focused primarily on crisis communications.
Adrian completed a dual MBA/MPH program, with honors, at UC Berkeley, and received his undergraduate degree in government, cum laude, from Dartmouth College. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Claudia, and their son and twin daughters. He spends most of his free time being told what to do by his kids, but also sneaks in as many rounds of golf as he can.
